A START-UP THAT AIMS TO GET THE FOCUS BACK ON THE MANUFACTURER –

BECAUSE NO ONE ELSE DOES IT ...

WE AIM TO GET THE FOCUS BACK ON THE MANUFACTURER –

BECAUSE NO ONE ELSE DOES ...

2021 KickStarter Campaign for Social Justice

For the past 30 years, the manufacturing of clothes has been solely centred around Asia, where the manufacturers has taken advantage of their work morale and the low wages.

Once, “Made In China” was a sign of cheap goods, and not a sign of quality. But because of the centralization of Asia as a main workforce, especially China’s economy has had the opportunity to grow and has become a strong competitor to the Western world. “Made In China” is now a quality stamp, since almost everything is made there. Now, the manufacturers are looking for other places to manufacture their goods to keep the production cost low – and their eyes are set on Africa.

Africa has for a long time provided the world with raw materials for the production of e.g., mobile phones and gold jewelry. And now the mastodonts in the clothing industry has moved the production to Africa, primarily Ethiopia, making the workers work for €164.81, which is $183,45 – a month.

We want to give the Africans a possibility to earn their own money, and not be dependent to work on factories. We need to be aware, that for us to get dressed, other people need to work under conditions that we can’t accept.

Africa Is The New Black is founded by the help of others, not by investors. Without you, this project fails. Together, we can create work for a thousand women, and also raise awareness about the current conditions regarding the hard-working women and men in Africa by forcing people to think on how their products are made.

It is a collaboration: Your order will provide them with work and thereby prevent them from being exploited by foreign manufacturers, and we make sure the manufacturers will get paid as deserved.

Join our KickStarter, and help us help them.
